bible.riteandrubric.com is a Bible reader for the Rite & Rubric family. Read any chapter in up to four translations at once — the verses aligned in parallel columns for comparison and study.

Translations

The reader offers the King James Version (with Apocrypha), the translation appointed for the Daily Office at Rite & Rubric, alongside public-domain and permissively licensed English translations including the World English Bible, American Standard Version, Berean Standard Bible, Open English Bible, JPS Tanakh, NET Bible, Douay–Rheims, Catholic Public Domain Version, Darby, Brenton and LXX2012 English, the Coverdale Psalter, the Hebrew Masoretic Text (Westminster Leningrad Codex), the Clementine Vulgate, Greek Septuagint and New Testament texts, and three AI English renderings.

The AI columns are drawn one from each source corpus, so no two of them ever carry the same text: AI-MT renders the Hebrew Masoretic Text, AI-LXX the Greek Septuagint, and AI-NT the Greek New Testament. They are generated by large language models and are not human-verified; read them alongside a human translation, never in place of one. Their coverage follows the interlinear corpora and is still filling in — AI-LXX and AI-NT are complete for the Greek Old and New Testaments, while AI-MT so far reaches Genesis through Numbers, Deuteronomy 1–20, and Job 1 and 19.

Design

The reader shares the typographic tradition of Rite & Rubric — Charter and Georgia, small-caps headings, rubric red and gold accents — with Gentium for the Greek column.

The King James text follows the Authorized Version of 1611 as distributed by eBible.org (public domain). The Coverdale Psalter follows the digitization used at Rite & Rubric. The Greek New Testament follows the standard critical text (NA28 / SBLGNT / THGNT in its main wording).
